Colorado PAAC Program

The Colorado Archaeological Society (CAS) and the Office of the State Archaeologist of Colorado (OSAC) established the PAAC Program in 1978. The PAAC Program allows CAS members and other citizens to obtain recognized levels of expertise outside of an academic degree program and prepares participants for the rigors associated with volunteer archaeology. PAAC is a complement, to existing university and governmental training programs, but not a replacement. Classes are held statewide, and the cost is quite reasonable.
